Tumblr-Style Vintage Backdrop
A faded-tone background referenced from iPhone5retinawallpaper.com, sized for retina iPhone 5 displays.
This campaign site for Silke Pflueger for State Senate mixes civic content with a few creative extras, including a small gallery of vintage iPhone 5 wallpapers collected for readers who like faded, nostalgic phone backgrounds. The wallpaper page gathers retro-collage and Tumblr-inspired layouts in muted tones, assembled into patchwork grids and sized for older devices. It reads as a lighthearted corner of a larger campaign website built around an engineer, immigrant, breast cancer survivor, and community leader running in the March special election primary in California.
Much of the rest of the site is devoted to the campaign itself: issues, endorsements, volunteer opportunities, events, press coverage, videos, and ways for supporters across the district to connect, canvass, or drop off signed ballot materials before polls close. The layout carries a patriotic, formal tone, pairing a deep navy and strong red masthead with cream and white content cards, script-style headings, and clean sans-serif body copy. Sections alternate backgrounds with thin dividers and generous vertical padding, while buttons in navy and red keep the overall impression sturdy and civic-minded rather than flashy.
